Highlights on Energy Security for Cimate Change Adaptation

This is a highlight paper to move ahead on identifying linkages of renewable energy for climate change adaptation process. It is the continuation on the effort, which was made earlier through the publication 'Climate Change and Local Impacts-Synergy Between Adaptation and Renewable Energy Development for Nepal'. It starts with general understanding that- Energy is the vital tool, which enhances and supports the ability to pursue basic and productive activities in building economy from the individuals to the macro level. Access to safe, clean and reliable energy guarantee the basic and productive operation of end-uses. Secure energy access for productive end-uses promotes productivity, genereates employment and ehance livelihood. Poverty alleviation through livelihood options have postive implication on climate change adaptation process.
